Dress To Impress or Comfortable Attire?

Why must our clothing dictate who we are? Why must we constantly dress to impress. Growing up I was taught that we had to get a good job which basically entailed wearing a suit and tie. I don’t believe that one must wear a suit and tie to become successful, your attire doesn’t dictate your work, its your skills that do.

I understand that one must present themselves properly to avoid looking like a total mess. I also understand that dressing the part might help one feel the part but is it necessary?

Growing into the person that I am today, I realized that I didn’t want to wear a suit, that isn’t who I am. I slowly began realizing that the notion that only those who wear suits and ties to work are successful is a common misconception. If anything, it took away from who I was. There is nothing worse than trying to act like someone you’re not at work. Doing this will only make one become uncomfortable and essentially blocking them from reaching their true creativity. The work environment should be a comfort zone for everyone.

About Simon Gabay

So although the surname Gabay may prove to be fairly common, I am not. I am an entrepreneur; I make what I want to do a reality. I like to live life based on my never-ending search for spiritual and philosophical enlightenment. I am independent, I envision and build, I build for people, and I lead for people. I’m a sucker for oldies with an enthusiasm for the dirtiest of the underground. I am loyal and like to see loyalty. It is my goal to see a world that is more humane and inclined towards the arts; I intend to bring you that world.
